Applications for metallurgical coke are many and diverse. While Hickman, Williams has been an important supplier of foundry coke for many years, we also provide special sizes of metallurgical coke to the sugar, mineral wool, and metal smelting industries.

Coke is one of the critical elements in iron production and Hickman, Williams provides global sourcing for blast furnace coke. Hickman, Williams also supplies small metallurgical coke sizes such as nut coke, buckwheat coke and coke breeze from both domestic and global sources. These smaller sizes are used in various industrial applications such as ferroalloy production, iron ore pelletizing, sintering and metal smelting. Small-sized coke is also dried and packaged for recarburizer and slag foaming applications in the steel industry.
